Quectel EC25-MX

The Quectel EC25-MX is an LTE Cat 4 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications, delivering maximum data rates of 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink using 3GPP Rel-11 LTE technology. This compact module measures 29.0 × 32.0 × 2.4 mm and features an LCC package design.

The EC25-MX operates across a standard temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature capability from -40°C to +85°C. It provides worldwide cellular connectivity with support for LTE, UMTS/HSPA+, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, ensuring backward compatibility and connectivity even in remote areas without 4G or 3G coverage.

The module integrates Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite, supporting multi-constellation GNSS including GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS for accurate positioning. It features MIMO technology to meet demands for enhanced data rates and link reliability in wireless communications.

Key interfaces include USB 2.0 high speed, dual UART, PCM digital audio, I2C, dual SDIO, SGMII, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. The module supports various voice codecs including AMR and AMR-WB, with echo cancellation and noise suppression capabilities. Optional VoLTE (Voice over LTE) functionality enables digital audio transmission.

The EC25-MX includes comprehensive driver support for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.5, and Android 4.x-13.x operating systems. Enhanced features include DFOTA (Delta Firmware Over-The-Air) updates, DTMF support, QMI/RmNet protocols, QuecLocator, QuecFile, SIM card detection, and SMS functionality. The module operates on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.3V with typical voltage of 3.8V, offering low power consumption with 10 μA in power-off mode, 1.1 mA in sleep mode, and 21 mA in idle mode.
