Quectel EC25-EC

The Quectel EC25-EC is an LTE Cat 4 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications, delivering maximum data rates of 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink using 3GPP Rel-11 LTE technology. This compact module measures 29.0 × 32.0 × 2.4 mm and features an LCC package design.

The EC25-EC supports LTE-FDD bands B1/3/5/7/8/20 and LTE-TDD bands B38/40/41, along with WCDMA bands B1/5/8 and GSM/EDGE bands B3/8, providing comprehensive network coverage across EMEA, South Korea, Thailand, and India regions. It offers backward compatibility with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks, ensuring connectivity even in areas without 4G or 3G coverage.

The module integrates Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite with multi-constellation GNSS support for GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS, enabling fast and accurate positioning. It features multiple interfaces including USB 2.0 high speed, dual UART, dual SDIO, I2C, SGMII, digital audio PCM, and dual ADC channels. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options are also available.

Operating in temperatures from -35°C to +75°C with extended temperature range support from -40°C to +85°C, the EC25-EC runs on a supply voltage of 3.3-4.3V (3.8V typical) with low power consumption of 11 μA in power-off mode, 1.16 mA in sleep mode, and 19.5 mA in idle mode. The module supports various voice codecs including HR/FR/EFR/AMR/AMR-WB with echo cancellation and noise suppression, plus optional VoLTE functionality.

Enhanced features include DTMF, DFOTA, QMI/RmNet, QuecLocator, QuecFile, SIM card detection, SMS, and optional eSIM support. The module comes with comprehensive driver support for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.5, and Android 4.x-13.x operating systems, including USB serial, NDIS, MBIM, GobiNet, and QMI_WWAN drivers.
