Quectel EC25-EU

The Quectel EC25-EU is an LTE Cat 4 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications, delivering maximum data rates of 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink using 3GPP Rel-11 LTE technology. Designed for the EMEA and Thailand regions, this module supports LTE-FDD bands B1/3/7/8/20/28A, LTE-TDD bands B38/40/41, WCDMA bands B1/8, and GSM/EDGE bands B3/8, ensuring backward compatibility with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks for connectivity even in remote areas without 4G or 3G coverage.

The module features a compact LCC package measuring 29.0 × 32.0 × 2.4 mm and operates within a temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C. It includes an optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS through Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite for accurate positioning capabilities.

The EC25-EU provides comprehensive interface options including USB 2.0 high speed, dual UART, dual SDIO, I2C, SGMII, digital audio (PCM), two ADC channels, and optional GRFC interfaces. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with (U)SIM card detection. Voice capabilities include HR/FR/EFR/AMR/AMR-WB speech codec modes with echo cancellation and noise suppression, plus optional digital audio and VoLTE support.

Enhanced features include DTMF, DFOTA, QMI/RmNet, QuecLocator, QuecFile, SMS functionality, and optional eSIM support (requires external eSIM chip). The module comes with extensive driver support for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.5, and Android 4.x-13.x, including USB serial, GNSS, RIL, NDIS, MBIM, GobiNet, and QMI_WWAN drivers.

Operating on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.3V (3.8V typical), the EC25-EU demonstrates efficient power consumption with 11 μA in power-off mode, 1.16 mA in sleep mode, and 19.5 mA in idle mode. The module holds certifications from Deutsche Telekom and British Telecom carriers, along with Global GCF, CE, UKCA, Taiwan NCC, and Australia/New Zealand RCM regulatory approvals, plus RoHS and WHQL compliance.
