Quectel EG91-VX

The Quectel EG91-VX is an LTE Cat 1 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications, delivering maximum data rates of 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink. Designed specifically for Verizon network deployment in North America, this module supports LTE-FDD bands B4/13 and operates without WCDMA, GSM/EDGE fallback capabilities.

Measuring 29.0 × 25.0 × 2.45 mm in a compact LGA package, the EG91-VX operates in temperatures from -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C. The module features an embedded power management unit with ultra-low power consumption of 7.6 μA in power-off mode, 0.95 mA in sleep mode, and 16.5 mA at idle. It operates on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.3V with 3.8V typical.

The module provides comprehensive connectivity through multiple interfaces including dual (U)SIM support, dual UART, USB 2.0 High Speed, digital audio (PCM), I2C, SPI, and dedicated antenna connections for main, Rx-diversity, and optional GNSS (GPS/GLONASS/BDS/Galileo/QZSS). Voice capabilities include AMR/AMR-WB speech codec modes with echo cancellation and noise suppression, supporting digital audio and VoLTE.

Enhanced features include DTMF, DFOTA, QMI/RmNet, QuecLocator, QuecFile, SMS functionality, and optional audio playback/recording and eSIM support. The module comes with extensive driver support for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.5, and Android 4.x-13.x, including USB serial, GNSS, RIL, NDIS, MBIM, GobiNet, and QMI_WWAN drivers. Certified by GCF and FCC with WHQL/RoHS compliance, the EG91-VX offers pin-to-pin compatibility with Quectel GSM M95 and LPWA BG95/BG96 series modules, enabling simple migration paths for IoT deployments requiring reliable LTE connectivity.
