u-blox SARA-G350

The u-blox SARA-G350 is a quad-band GSM/GPRS module designed for global M2M connectivity, featuring an ultra-compact LGA form factor measuring just 16.0 x 26.0 x 3.0 mm. This full-feature module delivers extremely low power consumption with standby current under 0.90 mA in idle mode and operates across an extended temperature range of -40 to +85°C.

The module supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz bands and GPRS Class 10 with data rates up to 85.6 kb/s. It includes a comprehensive protocol suite with embedded TCP/UDP, FTP, HTTP, and SSL support, enabling straightforward development of M2M devices with minimal host processor software requirements. The SARA-G350 features dual UART interfaces for data/AT commands and firmware updates, supports both 1.8V and 3V SIM cards, and provides 4 GPIO pins controllable via AT commands.

Key capabilities include fully integrated access to u-blox GNSS positioning chips through a dedicated DDC (I2C) interface, embedded A-GNSS functionality with AssistNow Online and Offline support, and CellLocate for network-based positioning. The module offers both analog and digital audio interfaces with voice codec support (HR/FR/EFR/AMR), echo cancellation, and noise reduction. Additional features include jamming detection, antenna supervision, network indication, and firmware update capability via serial interface.

Manufactured in ISO/TS 16949 certified production sites and qualified according to ISO 16750 automotive standards, the SARA-G350 holds comprehensive regulatory certifications including R&TTE, GCF, PTCRB, FCC, and IC. The module operates on 3.00 to 4.50V power supply and provides seamless drop-in migration from SARA-U UMTS/HSPA modules, making it ideal for global M2M applications requiring reliable GSM/GPRS connectivity with positioning capabilities.
