Quectel EG912U-EAL

The Quectel EG912U-EAL is an IoT/M2M-optimized LTE Cat 1 module designed for applications across Europe, APAC, and Latin America regions. This compact module measures 29.0 × 25.0 × 2.4 mm and weighs approximately 3.5g, delivering maximum data rates of 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink on LTE-FDD networks.

Operating across LTE-FDD bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28/66, LTE-TDD bands 38/40/41, and GSM bands 2/3/5/8, the module ensures reliable connectivity across diverse network infrastructures. It functions within an operating temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature capabilities from -40°C to +85°C for demanding environments.

The EG912U-EAL features comprehensive interface options including dual (U)SIM support, three UART interfaces, USB 2.0, digital audio (PCM), analog audio with microphone input and earpiece output, two ADC channels, I2C, and essential control pins (RESET_N and PWRKEY). For QuecOpen solutions, it additionally supports SPI, LCM, camera, and SD card interfaces.

Supporting VoLTE and various speech codec modes (HR/FR/EFR/AMR/AMR-WB), the module enables high-quality voice communications. It incorporates multiple network protocols including TCP/UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, MQTT, and SSL, along with enhanced features such as DTMF, DFOTA for firmware updates, audio playback/recording, and (U)SIM detection.

The module operates on a supply voltage range of 3.3V to 4.3V (typical 3.8V) with optimized power consumption as low as 29μA in power-off mode. Compatible with Windows 8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.7, and Android 4.x-13.x operating systems through various USB drivers, the EG912U-EAL is ideal for POS terminals, PoC devices, ETC systems, shared equipment, data cards, energy monitoring, smart safety applications, and industrial PDAs.
