Quectel EG912U-GL

The Quectel EG912U-GL is an IoT/M2M-optimized LTE Cat 1 module designed for machine-to-machine and Internet of Things applications. This compact module delivers maximum data rates of up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink, providing reliable connectivity for various industrial applications.

Measuring 29.0 mm × 25.0 mm × 2.4 mm and weighing approximately 3.67 g, the EG912U-GL features an LGA package with laser engraving for improved durability and heat dissipation. The module operates across a temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature capability from -40°C to +85°C.

The EG912U-GL provides global coverage with extensive LTE-FDD band support (B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28/66), LTE-TDD bands (B34/38/39/40/41), and GSM bands (B2/3/5/8). Optional features include multi-constellation GNSS support (GPS/GLONASS/BDS/Galileo/QZSS), Bluetooth 4.2 (BR/EDR + BLE), and 2.4 GHz 802.11b Wi-Fi scanning capability.

The module offers abundant interfaces including dual (U)SIM slots, three UART ports, USB 2.0 high-speed interface, digital audio (PCM), analog audio inputs and outputs, I2C, and various control pins. It supports comprehensive protocols such as TCP/UDP/PPP/HTTP/HTTPS/MQTT/SSL and includes USB drivers for Windows 8.1/10/11, Linux, and Android platforms.

With VoLTE support, DFOTA capability, and certifications including FCC, IC, CE, and multiple regional approvals, the EG912U-GL is ideal for applications such as POS terminals, push-to-talk over cellular devices, electronic toll collection, shared equipment, data cards, energy monitoring systems, smart safety solutions, and industrial PDAs. The module maintains backward compatibility with Quectel's BG95, BG96, EG91, EG95, and EG915U series modules, enabling seamless migration between 2G and 4G networks.
