Quectel EG800Q-EU

The Quectel EG800Q-EU is an LTE Cat 1 bis module specifically optimized for M2M and IoT applications. This compact module adopts 3GPP Rel-14 LTE technology and delivers maximum data rates of 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink.

Designed for the European market, the EG800Q-EU supports LTE-FDD bands B1/3/5/7/8/20/28 and features a single antenna design in a compact LGA package measuring 17.7 × 15.8 × 2.4 mm and weighing approximately 2.0g. The module operates across a temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C.

The module provides comprehensive connectivity through multiple interfaces including USB 2.0 high speed, three UART ports (Main, Debug, and Auxiliary), USIM, I2C, dual ADC, and digital audio (PCM). It supports a rich set of internet protocols including TCP/UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, SSL, MQTT, and PPP, along with USB serial drivers for Windows 8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.7, and Android 4.x-13.x.

Key features include DFOTA (Delta Firmware Over-The-Air) support for remote firmware updates, Wi-Fi scan capability, USIM card detection, and Quectel Enhanced AT Commands. The module operates on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.3V (typical 3.8V) with low power consumption, including 55 μA in power-off mode and 4.50 mA in idle mode with USB disconnected.

The EG800Q-EU holds CE certification for Europe, UKCA for the UK, and is certified by Deutsche Telekom. Its versatile feature set makes it ideal for applications such as asset management, commercial telematics, payment systems, remote access control, smart safety and automation, smart metering, and smart grid deployments.
