Quectel EG18-EA

The Quectel EG18-EA is an LTE Category 18 IoT/M2M-optimized module designed for EMEA, APAC, and Brazil regions. Built on 3GPP Release 12 LTE technology, this module delivers high-speed connectivity with download speeds up to 1.2 Gbps and upload speeds up to 150 Mbps, supporting 5× carrier aggregation, 256 QAM, and 4×4 MIMO technology.

Housed in a compact LGA package measuring 37.0 × 39.5 × 2.8 mm, the EG18-EA ensures compatibility with Quectel's EG06 and EG12 series modules, facilitating seamless product upgrades. The module operates reliably across a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C.

The EG18-EA provides comprehensive network coverage with LTE-FDD bands B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28, LTE-TDD bands B38/B40/B41, and WCDMA bands B1/B3/B5/B8. It features optional multi-constellation GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS) powered by Qualcomm IZat Gen8C Lite location technology for precise positioning capabilities.

Rich connectivity options include USB 2.0/3.0, PCIe, UART (×3), dual SIM support, PCM digital audio, SPI, I2C, and multiple GPIO interfaces. The module supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE) with AMR/AMR-WB speech codecs, echo cancellation, and noise suppression. Additional features include DFOTA for over-the-air firmware updates, DTMF support, and comprehensive driver support for Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems.

Certified by major carriers including Telstra and compliant with GCF, CE, RCM, and RoHS standards, the EG18-EA is ideal for business routers, home gateways, set-top boxes, industrial laptops, rugged tablets, and video transmission applications requiring high-speed, reliable cellular connectivity.
