Quectel EM120R-GL

The Quectel EM120R-GL is an LTE Advanced Category 12 M.2 module designed for global market coverage. Based on 3GPP Release 14 technology, it delivers theoretical downlink peak data rates of 600 Mbps and uplink rates of 150 Mbps. The module features downlink 3-carrier aggregation with 256QAM support and uplink 2-carrier aggregation with 64QAM.

Built in a compact M.2 form factor (42.0 × 30.0 × 2.3 mm), the EM120R-GL maintains compatibility with Quectel's EM06, EM12-G, EM160R-GL, and EM121R-GL modules, enabling seamless migration paths. The module operates across -25°C to +75°C with extended temperature range support from -40°C to +85°C.

The EM120R-GL provides comprehensive global connectivity through extensive LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD, and WCDMA band support, covering major carriers worldwide including Vodafone, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, China Mobile, NTT DOCOMO, and Telstra. An optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Galileo enables precise positioning capabilities.

Key interfaces include PCIe Gen2 for PC/laptop applications, USB 2.0/3.0 high-speed connectivity, dual SIM support with optional built-in eSIM, and MIMO technology for enhanced data rates and link reliability. The module supports multiple operating systems through MBIM, USB serial, NDIS, and PCIe MHI drivers for Windows, Linux, and Android platforms.

With its low power consumption modes, DFOTA capability, and comprehensive global certifications including GCF, PTCRB, FCC, CE, and carrier approvals, the EM120R-GL is ideal for industrial routers, home gateways, laptops, rugged tablets, video transmission systems, and digital signage applications.
