Quectel EG120K-EA

The Quectel EG120K-EA is an LTE-Advanced Cat 12 module designed for IoT and M2M applications, delivering peak data rates of 600 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink through 3GPP Rel-12 LTE technology. This module targets EMEA, APAC, and Brazil regions with comprehensive LTE-FDD band support (B1/3/5/7/8/20/28/32) and LTE-TDD bands (B38/40/41/42/43), plus WCDMA bands (B1/3/5/8) for fallback connectivity.

Built in a compact 37.0 × 39.5 × 2.8 mm LGA form factor, the EG120K-EA ensures compatibility with Quectel's EG06/EG12/EG18 modules for seamless migration between different LTE categories. The module operates reliably across -30°C to +75°C with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.

The EG120K-EA features an optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Galileo for accurate positioning capabilities. It incorporates advanced MIMO technology with 4×4 DL MIMO support on bands B1/3/7/38/40/41/42, enhancing data throughput and link reliability. The module supports LTE-A carrier aggregation, achieving maximum speeds of 430 Mbps downlink and 90 Mbps uplink in LTE-TDD mode, with DC-HSDPA fallback providing 42 Mbps downlink and 5.76 Mbps uplink.

Rich connectivity options include dual SIM support (1.8V/3.0V), optional eSIM, USB 2.0/3.0 interface with master and slave modes, three UART interfaces, PCIe Gen 2, PCM, SPI, I2C, and dual ADC channels. The module supports comprehensive protocols including QMI, MBIM, NITZ, HTTP(S), FTP, LwM2M, and PING, with USB drivers available for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux, and Android platforms. Additional features include optional VoLTE support, DTMF, DFOTA for firmware updates, and QMI/Rmnet support. The module operates on a 3.3-4.4V supply voltage with typical consumption of 3.8V and achieves low power consumption of 12μA in power-off mode.
