Quectel EM060K-EA

The Quectel EM060K-EA is an LTE Advanced Category 6 M.2 module designed for EMEA/APAC regions (excluding China/Japan) and Brazil. Based on 3GPP Release 12 technology, this module delivers theoretical peak data rates of 300 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink for LTE connectivity, with additional UMTS/HSPA+ support offering up to 42 Mbps downlink and 5.76 Mbps uplink.

The module features an M.2 form factor with Key-B interface, measuring 30.0 × 42.0 × 2.3 mm and weighing 6.2g. It operates across a standard temperature range of -25°C to +75°C, with extended temperature capability from -40°C to +85°C. The EM060K-EA supports LTE-FDD bands 1/3/5/7/8/20/28/32, LTE-TDD bands 38/40/41, and WCDMA bands 1/3/5/8, providing comprehensive coverage for its target regions.

Key capabilities include downlink 2-carrier aggregation with both intra-band and inter-band support, 64QAM downlink and 16QAM uplink modulation, and MIMO technology with 2×2 downlink configuration. The module incorporates an optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS for precise positioning applications. It offers dual SIM support with DSSS (Dual SIM Single Standby) functionality and optional built-in eSIM capability.

Interface options include USB 2.0/3.0, optional PCIe Gen2 for RC mode operations, dual USIM card slots supporting 1.8V/3.0V, and three antenna interfaces for main, Rx-diversity, and GNSS functions. The module supports various protocols including QMI, MBIM, NITZ, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, LwM2M, and PING, along with Quectel Enhanced AT Commands. Power consumption in USB mode is optimized with 0.064 mA in power-down state, 3.42 mA in sleep mode, and 40.10 mA in idle mode. The EM060K-EA holds GCF and CE certifications for global and European compliance, along with RCM certification for Australia/New Zealand and NCC for Taiwan.
