Quectel EG060K-LA

The Quectel EG060K-LA is an LTE-Advanced Cat 6 module designed specifically for M2M and IoT applications in the Latin America region. Built in a compact LGA form factor measuring 37.0 × 39.5 × 2.8 mm, this module delivers peak data rates of 300 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink using 3GPP Rel-12 LTE technology.

The module operates across LTE-FDD bands B2/4/5/7/8/25/28/66 and LTE-TDD band B42/43, with additional WCDMA support on bands B2/4/5/8 for fallback connectivity. It features DC-HSDPA capabilities with speeds up to 42 Mbps downlink and 5.76 Mbps uplink. The EG060K-LA supports advanced MIMO configurations including 2×2 and 4×2 for enhanced data throughput and link reliability.

Operating in temperatures from -30°C to +75°C with extended range support from -40°C to +85°C, the module is suitable for demanding industrial environments. It includes an optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Galileo for precise positioning capabilities.

The module offers comprehensive connectivity through multiple interfaces including dual SIM support (1.8V/3.0V), optional eSIM, USB 2.0/3.0 with both master and slave modes, three UART ports, PCIe Gen 2, PCM, SPI, I2C, and SDIO interfaces. It supports various protocols including QMI, MBIM, NITZ, HTTP(S), FTP, LwM2M, and PING, with driver compatibility across Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux (2.6-6.5), and Android (4.x-13.x) operating systems.

Additional features include VoLTE support for voice communications, DTMF functionality, DFOTA for firmware updates, and QMI/Rmnet support. The module operates on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.4V (typical 3.8V) with low power consumption, making it ideal for applications such as industrial routers, home gateways, set-top boxes, industrial laptops and PDAs, rugged tablet PCs, video transmission systems, and digital signage.
