Telit ME310M1-W3

The ME310M1-W3 is a next-generation LTE Cat M1/NB2 LGA module designed for secure, massive, and power-efficient IoT device deployments. This worldwide variant supports global bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B8, B12, B13, B14, B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, B27, B28, B66, B71, and B85, with 23 dBm output power (Power Class 3) for dual-mode LTE-M/NB-IoT operation.

The module is 3GPP Release 14 compliant with roadmap upgrades to Releases 15/16/17, featuring half-duplex FDD with single Rx and single antenna configuration. It delivers LTE Cat M1 uplink speeds up to 1 Mbps and downlink up to 588 Kbps, while LTE Cat NB2 provides uplink up to 160 Kbps and downlink up to 120 Kbps. The compact 15 x 18 mm form factor includes 94-pad LGA footprint with 6 I/O ports, UART, SPI, I2C interfaces, and 1.8V SIM interface.

Power efficiency is achieved through Power Saving Mode (PSM) with 1 µA consumption and extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) at less than 10 µA, enabling battery-operated devices to last a decade or longer. The module operates on nominal 3.8V DC supply voltage across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

Key features include concurrent GNSS positioning capability, IPv4/IPv6 stack with TCP/UDP protocols, TLS 1.3/DTLS security, OMA Lightweight M2M (LwM2M) support, and firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates using delta upgrade techniques. The module supports eSIM and iSIM technologies with planned CC PP0117 EAL 5+ compliance, NExT embedded connectivity, and Connectivity Activation remote SIM provisioning service.

Control is managed via AT commands according to 3GPP TS 27.005, 27.007 and customized Telit Cinterion AT commands, with SIM application toolkit 3GPP TS 51.01 and SMS over NAS support. Planned certifications include FCC/IC, RED, GCF, PTCRB, UKCA, JATE/TELEC, and carrier approvals from AT&T, FirstNet, Verizon, T-Mobile U.S., KDDI, SOFTBANK, NTT DOCOMO, and Telstra.
