Telit SE868K3-AL

The SE868K3-AL is a low-profile GNSS antenna module featuring an enhanced architecture with an integrated 9 x 9 x 2mm antenna in a compact 11 x 11 x 4.1mm PCB package. This multi-constellation receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, and is Galileo-ready, capable of tracking GPS + GLONASS and Galileo constellations simultaneously. The module includes an additional LNA and SAW filter for improved RF sensitivity, with acquisition sensitivity of -145 dBm, navigation sensitivity of -159 dBm, and tracking sensitivity of -160 dBm.

The SE868K3-AL delivers positioning data through standard UART, I2C, or SPI interfaces and features a PPS output for precision timing applications. It supports both autonomous and server-based A-GPS with an onboard software engine capable of locally predicting ephemeris up to three days in advance. The module operates on a power supply range of 3 to 4.3V with low power consumption of less than 30 µW in backup mode and less than 100 mW during full power acquisition.

Designed for applications requiring multipath rejection capability of a RHCP antenna in space-constrained designs, the SE868K3-AL operates across a temperature range of -40 to +85°C and weighs less than 2 grams. It achieves time to first fix of 1 second for hot start and less than 35 seconds for cold start, with autonomous positional accuracy of 2.5m CEP50. The module is SBAS compliant with EGNOS, WAAS, GAGAN, and MSAS capability, includes jamming rejection, data logging features, and is RoHS compliant. Its SMT mounting design eliminates the need for holes on the host PCB and is backward compatible with SE868-A and pin-to-pin compatible with SE868K7-AL and SE868-AS variants.
