Telit ML865C1-EA

The ML865C1-EA is a dual-mode LTE Category M1/NB1 cellular module designed for IoT applications across Europe and Latin America. This compact module features a 24.4 x 24.4 x 2.6 mm VQFN package and supports both LTE Cat M1 and NB1 technologies with 2G fallback capability. Operating on LTE bands B3 (1800 MHz), B5 (850 MHz), B8 (900 MHz), B20 (800 MHz), and B28 (700 MHz), plus 2G bands B2 (1900 MHz), B3 (1800 MHz), B5 (850 MHz), and B8 (900 MHz), the module delivers uplink speeds up to 375 kbps and downlink speeds up to 300 kbps in Cat M1 mode, or 62.5 kbps uplink and 21 kbps downlink in NB1 mode.

The ML865C1-EA is 3GPP Release 13 compliant and incorporates advanced power-saving features including Power Saving Mode (PSM) and extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX), enabling devices to operate on battery power for extended periods. The module offers enhanced coverage with up to +15dB/+20dB improvement in maximum coupling loss compared to other cellular technologies. It features multiple interfaces including USB 2.0 HS, UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, and ADC, along with a 1.8V/3V SIM interface. Operating within an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and powered by a nominal 3.8 VDC supply, the module supports IPv4/IPv6 stack with TCP/UDP protocols, TLS 1.2 security, SMS, and OMA Lightweight M2M (LWM2M) protocol. The ML865C1-EA holds RED, GCF, Deutsche Telekom, and Anatel certifications, making it suitable for smart metering, asset tracking, industrial sensors, healthcare monitoring, and other low-data-rate IoT deployments.
