Quectel EM06-A

The Quectel EM06-A is an LTE Advanced Category 6 M.2 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications in North America. Built on 3GPP Release 12 LTE technology, it delivers peak data rates of 300Mbps downlink and 50Mbps uplink, with support for LTE-A carrier aggregation across multiple band combinations.

This variant supports LTE-FDD bands B2/B4/B5/B7/B12/B13/B17/B25/B26/B29/B30/B66 and LTE-TDD band B41, along with WCDMA bands B2/B4/B5, providing comprehensive coverage for North American carriers. The module features extensive 2×CA combinations for enhanced performance and network flexibility.

The EM06-A integrates Qualcomm IZat Gen8C Lite location technology with multi-constellation GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS) for accurate positioning capabilities. It offers multiple interfaces including USB 2.0/3.0 high-speed connectivity, dual (U)SIM interfaces, PCM digital audio, and I2C, along with antenna interfaces for main, diversity, and GNSS.

Operating within a supply voltage range of 3.1V to 4.4V and temperature range of -30°C to +70°C (with extended range to -40°C to +85°C), the module measures 42.0mm × 30.0mm × 2.3mm in the standard M.2 form factor and weighs approximately 6.0g. It includes comprehensive driver support for Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems, along with industry-standard protocols and AT command compatibility.

The module supports MIMO technology for improved data rates and link reliability, and includes features such as VoLTE, DTMF, and DFOTA capabilities. Its M.2 form factor ensures compatibility with future Quectel category 9, 12, and 16 modules, facilitating seamless migration paths for evolving connectivity requirements in industrial routers, gateways, rugged tablets, video surveillance systems, and digital signage applications.
