Quectel EC21-AUT mPCIe

The Quectel EC21-AUT mPCIe is an LTE Category 1 module designed specifically for IoT and M2M applications, featuring a standard PCI Express Mini Card form factor. This variant is optimized for Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Brazil markets, supporting LTE FDD bands B1/B3/B5/B7/B28 and WCDMA bands B1/B5.

The module delivers M2M-optimized connectivity with speeds of 10Mbps downlink and 5Mbps uplink on LTE networks, while maintaining backward compatibility with 3G WCDMA networks (384Kbps) for reliable fallback connectivity. It integrates Qualcomm IZat Gen8C Lite location technology with multi-constellation GNSS support including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS for accurate positioning capabilities.

Key features include a USB 2.0 high-speed interface (up to 480Mbps), comprehensive protocol support (TCP/UDP/PPP/FTP/HTTP/NTP/PING/QMI), and USB drivers for Windows XP through Windows 10, Linux, and Android platforms. The module supports voice capabilities with multiple speech codec modes (HR/FR/EFR/AMR/AMR-WB) and optional VoLTE functionality.

Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C and powered by a 3.0V to 3.6V supply (3.3V typical), the EC21-AUT mPCIe consumes just 3.5mA in sleep mode and 34mA at idle. Its compact dimensions of 51.0mm × 30.0mm × 4.9mm and approximate weight of 9.8g make it ideal for space-constrained applications including smart metering, fleet management, tracking devices, wearable technology, smart home gateways, and digital signage.
