Quectel EC21-AU mPCIe

The Quectel EC21-AU mPCIe is an LTE Category 1 module in a standard PCI Express Mini Card form factor, optimized for IoT and M2M applications. This module delivers 10Mbps downlink and 5Mbps uplink speeds, providing cost-effective, low-power LTE connectivity for applications that don't require high-speed data but need reliable LTE network coverage.

The EC21-AU mPCIe supports multiple frequency bands including LTE FDD (B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B28), LTE TDD (B40), WCDMA (B1/B2/B5/B8), and GSM (B2/B3/B5/B8), making it suitable for deployment in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Brazil. It maintains backward compatibility with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks, ensuring seamless migration between LTE, 3G, and 2G networks.

The module features integrated Qualcomm IZat Gen8C Lite location technology supporting GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS for accurate positioning capabilities. It includes a USB 2.0 high-speed interface (up to 480Mbps), UART, (U)SIM interface, and supports MIMO technology for enhanced data rates and link reliability. The module operates on 3.0V-3.6V supply voltage with low power consumption of 3.5mA in sleep mode and 34mA in idle mode.

With dimensions of 51.0mm × 30.0mm × 4.9mm and weighing approximately 9.8g, the EC21-AU mPCIe operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. It supports various protocols including TCP/UDP/PPP/FTP/HTTP/NTP/PING/QMI and provides USB drivers for Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10, Linux, and Android platforms. The module is suitable for diverse IoT applications including smart metering, fleet management, tracking and tracing, wearable devices, smart home gateways, digital signs, and drones.
