Quectel EC21-V mPCIe

The Quectel EC21-V mPCIe is an LTE Category 1 module designed in the standard PCI Express Mini Card form factor, optimized for IoT and M2M applications. This North American variant supports LTE FDD bands B4 and B13, delivering cost-effective connectivity with speeds of up to 10Mbps downlink and 5Mbps uplink.

The module features multi-constellation GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS) powered by Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite for accurate positioning capabilities. It includes a USB 2.0 high-speed interface (up to 480Mbps), UART interface, and LED network status indication. The module supports voice capabilities with multiple speech codec modes including HR/FR/EFR/AMR/AMR-WB, along with echo cancellation and noise reduction.

Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C and powered by a 3.0V-3.6V supply (3.3V typical), the EC21-V mPCIe consumes just 3.5mA in sleep mode and 34mA at idle. The compact 51.0mm × 30.0mm × 4.9mm module weighs approximately 9.8g and provides LTE output power of Class 3 (23dBm±2dB).

The module supports extensive protocols including TCP/UDP/PPP/FTP/HTTP/NTP/PING/QMI and features USB serial drivers for Windows XP through Windows 10, Linux, and Android platforms. Additional capabilities include eCall support, (U)SIM card detection, DL MIMO with Rx-diversity, and firmware upgrade over the air (DFOTA). The EC21-V mPCIe is compliant with 3GPP E-UTRA Release 11 standards and holds FCC, PTCRB, and IC certifications for North American deployment.
