Quectel EC21-AUV

The Quectel EC21-AUV is an LTE Cat 1 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications, designed specifically for the Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand markets. This cost-effective, low-power module delivers maximum data rates of 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink on LTE-FDD networks, with additional support for LTE-TDD Band 40 offering 8.96 Mbps downlink and 3.1 Mbps uplink.

The module features multi-mode connectivity with support for LTE-FDD bands B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/28, LTE-TDD B40, WCDMA bands B1/2/5/8, and GSM/EDGE bands B2/3/5/8, ensuring backward compatibility with existing 2G and 3G networks. It incorporates Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite with multi-constellation GNSS support including GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS for accurate positioning capabilities.

Housed in a compact LCC package measuring 29.0 × 32.0 × 2.4 mm, the EC21-AUV operates across a temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C. The module runs on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.3V (3.8V typical) with low power consumption of 7.0 μA in power-off mode, 1.0 mA in sleep mode, and 17 mA in idle mode.

Key interfaces include USB 2.0 high speed, dual UART, digital audio PCM, I2C, single SDIO for Wi-Fi and SD card, SGMII, dual ADC, and optional dual GRFC. The module supports comprehensive voice capabilities with HR/FR/EFR/AMR/AMR-WB speech codec modes, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and optional VoLTE functionality. Enhanced features include DTMF, DFOTA, QMI/RmNet, QuecLocator, QuecFile, SIM card detection, SMS, and optional eSIM support.

The EC21-AUV comes with extensive driver support for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.5, and Android 4.x-13.x operating systems, including USB serial, GNSS, RIL, NDIS, MBIM, GobiNet, and QMI_WWAN drivers. It holds certifications from Telstra (data-only), FCC, IC, Anatel, NCC, JATE/TELEC, RCM, CE, and complies with RoHS and WHQL standards.
