Sierra Wireless AirPrime HL8549

The Sierra Wireless AirPrime HL8549 is a compact 3G HSPA embedded module designed for global connectivity with comprehensive multi-band support. Operating on 3G HSPA technology across frequency bands B1, B2, B5, B6, B8, and B19, along with 2G EDGE/GSM/GPRS on 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz bands, this module ensures worldwide coverage for IoT deployments.

Featuring the industry's smallest form factor at 22x23x2.5mm in an LGA package with optional snap-in socket capability, the HL8549 delivers peak download speeds of 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of 5.76Mbps. The module includes GPS and GLONASS positioning with SiRF V technology for accurate location services.

The HL8549 offers extensive connectivity options including one 8-wire UART interface, USB, 2 ADC channels, 8 GPIO pins, and a dual-voltage SIM interface supporting both 1.8V and 3V. It features comprehensive audio capabilities with digital audio support, multiple codecs (HR, FR, EFR, AMR), echo cancellation, noise reduction, and DTMF functionality.

Built for industrial applications, the module operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and comes with pre-certified firmware and secure boot capabilities. It includes driver support for Windows 7, Windows 8, Linux (Standard ECM), and Android RIL, ensuring broad platform compatibility.

The HL8549 is certified by multiple regulatory bodies including Anatel, CE, FCC, GCF, IC, and PTCRB, with carrier approval from Vivo. It includes free unlimited FOTA upgrades powered by AirVantage cloud services, with optional device management, application enablement, and connectivity management services available for comprehensive IoT deployment management.
