Cinterion AC75i

The Cinterion AC75i is a 6th generation automotive-grade wireless module designed for advanced telematics applications and European eCall compliance. This quad-band GSM module (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) supports EDGE Class 12 data transmission with speeds up to 236.8 kbps, alongside GPRS Class 12 connectivity. Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and powered by 3.2-4.5V supply voltage, the compact module measures 33.9 x 45 x 3.3 mm and weighs approximately 8.5g.

The AC75i features comprehensive connectivity through an 80-pin board-to-board connector, offering dual serial interfaces (up to 921 kbps), USB 2.0 full speed, dual analog and digital audio interfaces, I²C and SPI buses, and multiple GPIOs. It includes a Rosenberger SMP 50Ω antenna connector and supports antenna diagnostics for up to two external antennas. The module provides full TCP/IP stack access with support for TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and POP3 protocols via AT commands.

Key automotive features include integrated SIM Access Profile, RLS monitoring for jamming detection, advanced temperature management with emergency call capability at high temperatures, and preparation for European eCall requirements. The module supports SMS (point-to-point and cell broadcast), voice communications with triple-rate codec and AMR, enhanced hands-free operation per VDA specifications, and includes echo cancellation and noise suppression. Additional capabilities encompass SIM Application Toolkit, DTMF, USSD support, and over-the-air updates for both application software (OTAP) and firmware (FOTA).

Developed and manufactured according to TS16949 standards, the AC75i holds multiple certifications including R&TTE, FCC, UL, IC, GCF, PTCRB, e-mark, and CE, along with local approvals and network operator certifications. It is IMDS listed and GASDL compliant, making it suitable for toll collect, telematics, fleet management, emergency call, breakdown, and roadside assistance applications.
