Cinterion TC65T Terminal

The Cinterion TC65T Terminal is a powerful quad-band GPRS Class 12 device designed for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. Operating on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies, this intelligent terminal combines Java™ IMP-NG open software platform with comprehensive industrial interfaces to deliver a plug-and-play solution for diverse M2M applications including fleet management, security, vending machines, and remote control systems.

Built on the advanced TC65 module, the terminal features an ARM Core processor with Blackfin DSP, 400 KB RAM, and 1.7 MB Flash memory. It supports GPRS data transmission up to 86 kbps, TCP/IP connectivity with full internet services (TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3), and secure data transmission using HTTPS, SSL, and PKI encryption. The device operates on 8-30V supply voltage with an extended temperature range of -30°C to +70°C for normal operation, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Key connectivity features include multiple interfaces such as SMA 50Ω antenna connector, 24-pin Micro-N-Lok connector with I²C bus, SPI bus, dual analog inputs, and multiple GPIOs, plus a 9-pin sub-D connector for serial communications. The terminal supports over-the-air updates for both application software (OTAP) and firmware (FOTA), SIM Access Profile, and includes fax functionality (Group 3, class 1) along with voice capabilities featuring triple-rate codec and adaptive multi-rate AMR.

Measuring 90 x 130 x 38 mm and weighing less than 190g, the TC65T Terminal comes with full type approval including R&TTE, FCC, IC, GCF, PTCRB, e-mark, and CE certifications, eliminating certification concerns for global deployment. Additional features include RLS Monitor for jamming detection, programmable terminal reset, operating status LED, ON/OFF button, and support for both 3V and 1.8V SIM cards.
