Cinterion EU3-P

The Cinterion EU3-P is a tri-band UMTS (850/900/2100 MHz) and dual-band GSM (900/1800 MHz) 3G M2M advanced wireless module designed for industrial applications requiring long-term connectivity solutions. This compact module (33.9 x 44.6 x 5.0 mm, 11g) supports HSDPA data rates up to 3.6 Mbps downlink and 384 kbps uplink, along with EDGE Class 10 and GPRS Class 10 capabilities for areas without 3G coverage.

The EU3-P features both high-speed USB 2.0 (up to 480 Mbps) and serial interfaces (up to 460 kbps) that can operate simultaneously, enabling rapid data transfer for M2M applications. With 10 GPIO pins accessible via AT commands, the module provides exceptional flexibility for connecting customer application sensors. The module supports full voice functionality with multiple speech codecs (HR, FR, EFR, AMR) and includes video call support.

Operating across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with a supply voltage of 3.3-4.2V, the EU3-P is ideal for demanding industrial environments including automatic meter reading (AMR) solutions. The module features low power consumption with sleep modes under 2.2 mA in GSM mode and 2.0 mA in UMTS mode. Additional capabilities include TCP/IP stack access via AT commands, SIM Application Toolkit support, SMS text and PDU modes, USSD support, and Fax Group 3 class 1. The EU3-P comes with an 80-pin board-to-board connector, U.FL antenna connector, and is RoHS compliant with R&TTE, GCF, and CE approvals.
