Cinterion BGS2T RS232 Terminal

The Cinterion BGS2T RS232 Terminal is an ultra-compact, plug-and-play GPRS connectivity solution designed for M2M communications. This Quad-Band GSM/GPRS terminal operates on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies and supports GPRS Class 10 data transmission with download speeds up to 85.6 kbps and upload speeds up to 42.8 kbps.

Housed in a robust plastic enclosure measuring just 80 x 55 x 23 mm and weighing 65g, the terminal features a credit card-sized footprint with flexible mounting options including DIN rail, C-rail, and screw fixing. The RS232 variant includes a D-sub 9-pole female socket interface and a 6-pole Western jack power connector, along with an integrated Mini-SIM card reader supporting both 1.8V and 3.0V cards.

Operating across a wide voltage range of 8-30V and temperature range of -30°C to +75°C, the terminal delivers exceptional low power consumption based on latest-generation chipset technology. It provides comprehensive connectivity features including TCP/IP stack access via AT commands, support for multiple internet services (FTP, HTTP, SMTP, POP3, DNS), SMS text and PDU mode, fax capabilities, and real-time clock functionality.

The BGS2T RS232 Terminal comes fully certified with CE, R&TTE, GCF, FCC, PTCRB, and IC approvals, includes drivers for Windows 7, XP, and Vista, and features operating status LEDs and an SMA female antenna connector. Ideal for first-time M2M implementers and small-scale deployments in metering, security, transportation, and remote monitoring applications.
